Fire Boss
It is a bit late in the season for "fire" pictures but I had an amazing opportunity a couple of weeks ago. I would have posted sooner, but I needed approval to share the images.
Over the years many different aircraft have been used to get water and retardant to wildland fires. When it comes to SEAT, Single Engine Air Tankers, the Air Tractor 802 is the primary workhorse in our area. I had the opportunity to visit a local base and capture some great images. The company asked me not to show images of the open planes so I had to erase some sections.
The first thing that struck me is how large these planes are.

While I knew these planes were not small, seeing them next to a Cessna really puts things in perspective. They were moving a unit into the hanger and you can see how large it is compared to a full size pick up.

Here is a close up of 2 of the units parked next to a hanger.

These images are of the planes working which I have captured over the past couple of years.
One of the things I really enjoy about my profession is that I have opportunity to see amazing places and have access to areas that many others do not.
