Driving Around

I am often asked how I end up finding some of the amazing locations where I have captured the great images that I share.

On one of my earlier Facebook posts I encouraged people to take an alternate route. So often we get set in our ways and our routes. We take the same route over and over and over, on our way to work, or school, or other common events. I have lived in basically the same location for over 20 years and taken the same routes over and over to common places.

At the beginning of the year I have been taking alternate routes and have been exploring side roads. I have been breaking away from my routine routes and exploring to see what is out there.

I encourage everyone to take a few minutes out of their day, at least once a week to explore their world. It does not have to be "the road less traveled", just one that is new or less traveled by you. You will never know what you might find unless you look.
