Busy. That is the theme of this summer. Not necessarily all work, but busy. With summer winding down, we needed one last get away before fire season and the school year starting back up. Sun lakes. Between Coulee City and Soap Lake. A beautiful desert oasis in the middle of nowhere. This area has been part of my husbands weekly work commute for more than 15 years. I am sure the history of the area as rich as it is beautiful. But that is for another post. Our weekend wa
On the last Sunday in July every year the quiet city park in Ione, WA becomes filled with the sound of revving snowmobile engines. Spectators line up in the hot sun to watch these snowmobiles race across the Pend Oreille River. Of course, not all of them make it across......... That is when the boat crew springs into action and recovers the sled. While images are powerful, there is nothing like the sound these racing machines running across the water. Twice in a row now, we hit our mark.... today was The Carthaginian II. The day started early. Had to get the boys to the marina and off on their fishing excursion. While the kids were on their boat, we geared up to find our underwater ship, The Carthaginian II. The entry and exit were less than ideal; as people were surfing next to us. It was a 6 day class, I arrived Friday night the 3rd and tonight is my last night. With the training being held in the hotel it did not make sense to rent a car that would mostly sit. I did go out for dinner with a group a couple of nights ago, and to lunch yesterday. It is far from the amount of weekly travel I get to
Today is very exciting. After years of trying to figure out how to do something with my photography, and having time to do it, that day has come. There are many people in my life that have helped me make it to this point and without their support this would not be possible. I can not thank them enough, and they know who they are. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy capturing and sharing it with you. I would enjoy hearing from you about what you like and what you w
