Twice in a row now, we hit our mark.... today was The Carthaginian II. The day started early. Had to get the boys to the marina and off on their fishing excursion. While the kids were on their boat, we geared up to find our underwater ship, The Carthaginian II. The entry and exit were less than ideal; as people were surfing next to us. This ship is almost 6/10ths of a mile from shore. This is the farthest we have ventured from shore thus far. The ship sits at roughly 90 ft. N

Well we finally did it. No, not that......., we successfully dove the St. Anthony. We had no failures or issues. Got to the beach, geared up, hit the water, took a heading and were soon diving the wreck. After diving the St. Anthony, we headed back in for a nice reef dive in the same area. Not only is it day 8 on Maui but also our 4th anniversary. I am so lucky to have someone so amazing to have great adventures with. Well if you are keeping track I have said twice now that we would be posting pictures of the St. Anthony wreck. Well, today was not going to be the day either. We got out of the house a little bit late. Once we got to the site and were gearing up, I knocked the scooter over, damaging it in a way it could not be fixed on site. All was not lost, we still dove on the local reef and had a great 83 min dive. We saw another another Manta Ray, but I did not have the correct lens on.

Today started with a nice scooter dive out to a reef called Z-blocks. On the way back we tried to pick up the wreck of the St. Anthony, but did not find it. After a quick surface break to change tanks we headed back in with a heading directly for the St. Anthony. However, the scooter battery has not been used enough, getting regular cycles, and therefore we only made it about 10 minutes into the second dive before it died. Today we started out with a morning of kayaking. Of course for Ty that includes fishing. After getting back to the condo and cleaning up we took a walk to have a late lunch. Having the kids with us means this trip is not all about diving. We did get one dive in this morning. The area did not have as good of visibility as we had hoped. I also had a technical issue with my camera so I was only able to capture a couple good shots. Beth just hanging out and Ty trying some spear fishing.
